The first TAS FarRide was placed online for a meet at Mount Elephant - St Marys - 7th March 2009.

9th nov 2008:
Discussions with Mike Kneebone of the IBA and agreement made for FarRiders to be the IBA of Australia. Changes will be made to the web site shortly to reflect this. Suitable domain name will be created and diverted to FarRiders.com

7th nov 2008:
Decision was made to set up a standalone forum for FarRiders owing to the high growth we are having, over 150 members now.

20th sept 2008:
Numbers continue to grow with 34 completing FarRide #8 east coast. Date set for FarNat'09 in Qld for a national meet of FarRiders and interested riders.

6th may 2008:
Added FarRide West #6

10th oct 2007:
Added FarRide East #6
Received letter of Trademark proceeding to next step, approved awaiting advertising

20th july 2007:
Applied online for Registered Trademarks on FarRiders Logo and variations of the name, paid fees

17th july 2007:
Added FarRide West #4

16th july 2007:
Approved proofs for FarRider banner and stickers.

11th july 2007:
Approved proof for FarRider belt buckles

19th may 2007:
Added FarRide Border Run '07

6th may 2007:
Updated completed FarRides east and west with finishers lists, well done riders.
Revised previous decision for number of FarRides per year to three (3) cost and time must be considered for all.
Rides for East will be early Feb, late May and late September. One of which will include an overnight option and a meet time of 4pm at the destination. For the East this will be Nambucca Heads in February each year, date to be set.
After discussions with Chris Dunne organiser of The Long Ride, of which two FarRiders attended, I have formed a bond between both groups and offered to support their ride as an ongoing ride listed for FarRiders. FarRiders has also contributed towards their online identity. The next one looks like being Sept 2008 and every second year after that, I will keep members informed.

18th march 2007:

Made slight changes to "about farriders" page by adding note concerning a US group who copied our name.

10th march 2007:
Decision has been made to run (4) four FarRides per year.
Every alternate ride having the option of a stay overnight. 1000k being done in the 24hrs prior to 11am.
FarRide #5 East will be further south into NSW to be closer to VIC riders.
